I give compliments to strangers, hold doors open, let a rude driver squeeze in front of me on the road, offer assistance to friends and strangers. A smile or compliment to somebody goes a long way.

Good for you for adopting sweet Peggy. Your caring and kind...Such an uplifting post, Kris. Your caring and kindness always comes through in your comments to me, for one. It is truly a wonderful feeling to be able to know that someone cares enough and that care comes through even though you have never personally met. I try to do the same. It really took us by surprise one day while coming back home from the kids and we have to cross a toll bridge which costs $4.00. The man in the booth told us that the car in front of us had paid our toll. It came as such a surprise that we felt it more than if we had known it was coming. We, in turn paid then for the car behind us to pay it forward. A friendly wave from the people behind us was so special. We never could catch up to the ones who paid ours. That just makes you stop and think a little more..xxoJudyJudy at GoldCountryCottagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10282585980012016892noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3145927977814106970.post-42676844782320039042018-01-16T16:55:09.051-06:002018-01-16T16:55:09.051-06:00I agree with your words about kindness. Even beautiful words to someone publicly that you can see is struggling. The other day, I was paying for an item that was around a dollar, I didn’t want to pull out that card and was counting change, well darn there was not enough change and the elderly lady behind me spoke out to the clerk “I’ve got that” I spoke oh thank you dearly, but I’ll just use my card. That act of offering kindness settled on my heart to then encourage a bit of paying it forward later that day. I think kindness goes a long way, and encourages others in ways we don’t always see. My daughter and I are always extending kindness and empathy to others, it’s a really good feeling right Kris?

A beautiful post, love the quote.
I left you a comment on you previous posting on your two chairs replacing the sofa, I am catching up here on my late visit.... darn that Instagram that monopolizes so much of our time...
A beautiful blessed week ahead of you.
Xx
DoreBurlap Luxehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16134718817693134037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3145927977814106970.post-33390420884803386702018-01-16T12:21:23.804-06:002018-01-16T12:21:23.804-06:00This is so touching Rose and so deserving. This is what life is about. We are all put here to make a difference even in our darkest of times. You are a shining example of this. You do not have to respond to my emails they are just a kindness to show you that I am here and if you need me I am at the other end of the email. Sometimes it is good to have a friend that maybe is only at the other end of an email. This can make sharing your hardest most hurtful times with someone that is not family or friends. It is someone that is neutral and cannot be hurt or get angry with how you are expressing yourself. So you know like I have always told you I am here if you need to vent or share. That is my kindness I love to share with you. . Glad you enjoy my pretties. I wish you could come over and sit in my comfy chairs and share a cup of something warm and just feel at home. This past year after my debilitating injury, which I am recovered from, I was the recipient of many acts of kindness. It was surprising and touching to me. While I was recovering from surgery for 2 1/2 months in a rehab center, I never went a day without at least one visitor. They also brought me gifts, like treats, books, lotion, socks, etc. I was so touched. After returning home I was transported to appointments by friends who would wheel me in to see doctors (could not walk much or well or for long), take me to lunch, go buy me groceries, visit, call, send me cards...just make me fell cared for and not forgotten. One little kindness means so much!Rose Lhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07180873324576064516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3145927977814106970.post-86187505382054670252018-01-16T12:09:35.985-06:002018-01-16T12:09:35.985-06:00Oh Anita you get it. I think positive behavior will lead to more positive behavior. Kindness shown is a perfect example. This really touched me Anita because you are exactly where you should be right now in life. These students are blessed to have a good role model in you.
