New Guest Room Addition

Happy Sunday.
Hope the week end is going great for all of you.

I was at my friend Janet's shop LUCKY JUNK this week and I found two cute garden tables and thought I would use them at the end of my guest room bed.

Before I show you those I want you to see another friends shop.  Mark that owns Room 363 in Naperville has this beautiful bedroom set up when you walk in the front door of his shop.

My pictures are not  great with using my cell phone but trust me the things he has in this beautiful room are fabulous.

The beautiful chandeliers were so impressive and the pillows ahhhhh...

The awesome things he finds are sooooo cool. I am not into hanging dead animal heads on my walls, no offense to those of you that do but I did love this cool antelope.  Look at that antelope!!! To fun.

Mark found these awesome large Madonna's.  Mark finds the best treasures to re sell in his shop.

Lots of great pillows.  That crown header and chandelier over the headboard.  Ahhhh so beautiful.

Yep look at this awesome sofa at the end of this bed.  Sooo so pretty.

Ok now onto my not so bling guest room addition!!!!  These are the little garden tables I got at Luck Junk.  I have been looking for a cute bench for the end of this bed and have not found one yet.  So I thought these would make for a cute seating area at the end of the bed.

For now I added a throw and pillow etc. but I have been looking at these and thinking I might have Terry get his trusty tools out and give these a little character.  Stay tuned for that!!!!

So my cream and white and neutral guest room has a new addition.  If you look closely you can see a little color added in this room.  The coverlet for summer at the end of the bed has blue, white, taupe in the print.

I have a big thank you hug to Jo from Anne's Attic Design.  Jo sent me these beautiful thank you gifts.  Jo you are so talented and so sweet.  Thank you so very much.  I cannot say this enough bloggers are the best.

Jo made this cute set of pillows.  Loved the tag.

Jo sent me these sweet flowers and angel wings.  Soooo pretty.  I put them on my tiered lamp on my desk.

Look at the cute attention to detail.  Love the buttons and lace on the flowers and the angel wings are gorgeous with old vintage pieces of lace and doilies.

The flowers and angel wings arrived in this cute 5 days in Paris gift bag.  Looooove this.

I hung the sweet angel wings by my favorite Angel my granddaughter Abby's pic.
Thank you Jo you really are the sweetest.  I will think of you daily when I look at all my cute treasures from you.
Have a great week everyone.
Kris

  3. Hi Kris, love what you see in this wonderful shop, but onto your guest room...the Door headboards are great they really demand attention, along with the way you flanked the window wall with matching window decor the foot of the bed vignette alway delights when attention has been givin to this space as you have done here, no room at my foot in either room really, and so wish there were.
This is a room to love and I am sure it loves you right back.

I am working on an armoire from my Front sitting room, over sized will add just whT I am looking for.

    See you soon

    Xx

  9. Oh Kris I fell in love with your friends store Room 363. I honestly do not understand how you can leave that treasure trove. Gorgeous displays. The touch of soft pretty color in your guest room is a beautiful addition. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the Lucky Junk small table finds. I like the idea of individual padded seats at the end of the bed.. Your creative mind schemes up such amazing beauty.
Jo's presents are so pretty and thoughtful. I met Jo when I was in your Spotlight so our friendship is only months old, but we instantly bonded. I find Jo to be a sincere, kind and beautifully gifted woman. I agree there is such kindness and beauty in bloggers.

  16. Mark's shop looks gorgeous!! So much fabulous eye candy. It can be really hard to find the perfect bench for the end of a bed. The two tables work great and add another texture to your room. I can't imagine what Terry's going to do to improve them. :-)

  17. Your guest room looks very restful with this soothing color palette, Kris! Love that quilt at the end of the bed. Such a great space at the shop. I'm not one for animal heads on walls either, but hey, whatever works for others - it just reminded me that I went to a chiropractor this past week and his office {where his desk is, not the main office} was filled with these trophies. Lots of deer, a boar, a couple of wild turkeys. It was a bit much for the size of the room and, I'm sorry, but a little creepy to see as I walked past.

I love your guest room and the new old tables, and I can guess what Terry's about to to them. ;) Jo's a sweet lady who knows your style well - love the angel wings on your tiered tray. 34. Aw thanks Kris, I am so pleased that you like your little gift. I always have to make things because then my heart is stitched inside. That shop is amazing! Let's see the sofa, all of the Madonna's, and the pillows and pumpkins will need to be shipped to my house. Let's see if I do that then I just might not have enough room for me down here. LOL They are fabulous! How fun to go shopping there. I adore the benches, you always make the sweetest vignettes. The angel wings go perfect with your darling grand, she is such an Angel. Have a lovely day my friend. Hugs my friend, Jo
