Happy Monday

Hope your week end was great.  Loving the mild fall temps.  Soaking it all in as long as we can here in the midwest before you know what comes!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to share a little project my hubby Terry and I did yesterday.  It was easy peasy and gave a whole new look to our porch.

Remember our blue front porch we painted for summer.  Well...... I just thought this color would not cut it for the winter months.

So with a little paint and about an hour of time we turned the blue summer porch into the taupe fall and winter porch.  This was easy peasy to do and fast.

We used Behr deck over paint from Home Depot in the color Taupe.  They have several colors to choice from.  I chose this one as I thought it blended well with the trim color of our home.

I did not get compensated from Behr or Home Depot these are all my personal opinions.  I wish they would compensate me for all the free advertising I give them LOL!

My fall painted porch is ready and all the decor looks good on the new color porch.  As you can see my hanging bag on the door is still holding out.  I tell you this little impatiens bag does not want to let go.  Fine with me I want to hang on to mild temps too.

I love the mix of the pretty colored leaves falling into the flower beds with the green still holding on from summer.  Love that they co mingle!

Can you say Photo Bomber!!!!!!!!!

Yep! Libby does not want to be my behind the scenes assistant but in the pictures assistant !!

Have a great week.  Be sure to come back on Saturday for two new bloggers in the Spotlight and I also have a great give away coming on Sunday you won't want to miss.  Little hint it has to do with Christmas.  What?!!! you say but hey Christmas will be here before we all know it.  So be sure to come back on Sunday for the give away.
Happy Week.
Kris

  2. Kris- You guys did a bang up job on that porch. I do like the new color better for the cold months. It "warms" it up a bit- the blue makes it look "cool", I think. Can't believe that those impatiens have done so well for so long. You really do have a green thumb. Hope you have a great week. xo Diana

  11. I love it! I never knew cement porches could be painted until you blogged about the blue porch and now I see they can not only be painted but they can be changed easily. I love it! If I was allowed to make changes to my porch, I would definitely be painting. Love the picture of Libby, the cutest photo bomber ever!

  15. It's beautiful!!! I think you will be happier with this more neutral color. It goes well with the interior of your mostly white home. You may decide to keep it year round.

We recently painted our front door and shutters a Martha Stewart grey called cement but it looks more like her driftwood grey. We love it! Gives your home a fresh new mood like a new lipstick!

Thank you for all your visits. I have slowed way down with blogging. Instagram has been more simple. Enjoy this lovely season. xxo

Libby is just like Waldo, always has to be in the mix of things. He loves it when I take his pictures. Bet Libby follows you around all day - she sure is a pretty dog.
Did you by chance get a chance to see my Let's Go Shopping post? Since you are thinking Christmas already, maybe you can see some ideas from that.
    Enjoy your Fall weekend.

  45. It's amazing what paint can do in transforming the exterior or interior of a home. It's so easy and inexpensive in the long run. Love the porch color! I've begun adding some soft grays to my whites and really like it. I had an hour to spare before the sun comes up and have spent it all catching up on your posts. I always enjoy them!
