Fall is in the Air!

Happy Thursday.

I started some Fall decorating.  We had fall like temps last week end.  Actually had to put the heat on.  This week it has warmed up some to the 70's so I am hanging onto these wonderful days.
Got my fall mantel decorated.

My new little Harvest Angel in in the wreath sitting on the pumpkin.

Some faux wheat and sunflowers.

Pumpkin on old chippy post.

Blessings runner and pumpkins.

Love to decorate for fall with these cute fabric pumpkins.

Took my sand and old milk bottle and added some fall flowers for a centerpiece on the dining room table.

As the sunshine streams into the entry way I have my new chippy swing and spread out a few fabric pumpkins up on the bench.

I am sure this bench will change up a few times as I get more fall decor.

I guess this summer girl needs to say good bye to summer and hello fall.  Just hope fall holds on for a while.  I do love when the leaves all start to change here in the midwest.

It makes me think of Chili in the crockpot, warm homemade Apple pie and Terry watching his Chicago Bears on Sundays.  Yep fall is here.

Hope your fall decor is starting where you are too.

I am slowly starting the outside of the house.  Some of my summer flowers are still hanging on.

Have a great rest of the week.
Be sure to come back on Saturday for Spotlight.  Susan and I have two wonderful bloggers for you to get to know better.

  4. As always, your fall decor is beautiful Kris! Love the bottle of sand with the flowers, the blessings runner, and the fabric pumpkins are so pretty. We've had so much rain lately, my flower beds look more like a jungle with all the weeds. It needs attention! Enjoy your day!

  5. Kris,
There is always a sweetness and romantic dreamy feel to your decor. Your Fall pumpkins, angels, flowers, signs convey your warm heart. Kris whenever I visit I leave feeling hugged. Philly all week has been in the mid 70's and Sunday will be 82, not so Fall like here either, but maybe - hopefully signals a mild winter!

  6. I love all of your white pumpkins and burlap mixed together. I bet it's really pretty during the Fall there. We are getting cooler temps, but our leaves are still very green. We won't get to enjoy a color change until mid to late October. Unfortunately, I now have a cold to deal with. Not sure if it's allergies from the change in season or not. Ugh!!

  8. Love all your fall decor although there is none at our house - mid 80's with the sand too hot to walk on barefoot!

I moved an old bench to the side of the garage and it hit me the other day when I drove home and noticed that spot that it is perfect for a fall vignette. I guess I need to get over to the pumpkin patch.

  9. Not sure how I have missed it but the lampshade with the spoons is fantastic. I need a close up shot of that. All your fall decor looks wonderful. We are in the low 60's here and it's very chilly in the morning when I leave for school.

  13. Mmmm, yes, I think I am going to make some chili this weekend, Kris. Of course, it is supposed to warm back up this weekend, so I may have to rethink that. : ) Love the flowers you added to your mantel. They suit your décor perfectly.

  19. I love the way you've warmed up your whites with a little bit of color and lots of texture, Kris! Your chippy swing looks darling hanging in your entryway, and I adore the wire gate decorated with a wreath, too. I'm too exhausted from working long days this week to do any fall decorating, but I hope to get around to it this weekend. My one and only Heavenly Blue morning glory bloomed today in the middle of the frozen leaves! Better late than never, I guess. :)

    Have a great weekend!

  21. I actually pulled my fall decor out of their secret hiding place yesterday. If I'm not too wiped out from shopping Saturday, I hope to start decorating on Sunday afternoon. Your decor is wonderful, I love that you can just add touches without changing everything. That is one nicety of having a beautiful neutral home! Lovely as always! Blessings, Cindy

  22. Ahhh-Kris- You beat me to it this year. I have been holding on to summer but figured I would get my Fall stuff out this week. Can you believe that summer is over and we have had weather like we have had? It was 42 here when I first got up this morning. That is AWFUL.

Everything looks just so lovely and I love all your white Fall decorations--when most of us are throwing splashes of color around you are creating a world of warmth with textures and slightly altered hues of white. I do love that little pop of yellow from the old swing though. You did a great job! xo Diana
