Fall Junkin Week End Part Two

Part Two Post of my Week end Junkin Trip.

We went to Indiana on Friday and Saturday and then headed North to Wisconsin via a stop over at home in Illinois to drop off the loaded car!!!!

So here is the Wisconsin part from today.  Elkhorn Flea Market is three times a year.  It in my opinion is one of the best in the midwest.  It never disappoints and I always find treasures.

The first of these pictures I took with my cell phone because I forgot to grab my camera so the quality is probably not the best.

This w0men at the flea had some of the cutest french chic items.  She mixed in her halloween with all her french couture.

Lots of fun Halloween stuff.

Yikes she had one of her french mannequin's dressed for halloween!!!!!

Poor little prim she did not look happy.

Cute dress mannequin made out of chicken wire.

Ok this sweet bird cage grabbed a hold of me.  I thought hmmm some white paint and she might look cute on my entertainment cabinet.  I was pretty excited until I got her home and she was 10 inches too big so the hubby is working on that adjustment.  Hopefully will have that up and looking cute soon.

One of my fav vendors is Jeanine from Chippy Shabby.  Jeanine had her gorgeous treasures for sale at the flea.  Love her stuff.  Jeanine's things can be found throughout my house.
It is hard to see in this picture but I got the cutest chippy chair and little tote from Jeanine.  I will show you at the end of this post what I did with those two chippy loves.  The fire signs are for the hubby and his garage re do.

Here we are getting the first load into the car!  That purple chair is getting a transformation too.  She will not be purple and she has the cutest chicken wire belly that I am going to have to do something cute in.  That big white post is being made into something cute too.  Lot's of projects for me after this trip.  So stay tuned for updates on my vintage porch post and birdcage project.

Here is the chippy chair.  I placed the sweater pumpkins I got in Indiana on her.

Love at first site with her chippy loveliness.

This chair looks cute all dressed with white fall decor.

Dressed up the new drop leaf table with some fall decor. Remember the little chippy tote  from Jeanine at the flea market today here she is dressed for fall.  Isn't this tote just the cutest.

There you have it some more of the great treasures I found this week end.  I hope to get some of my bigger projects done this week to show you.
I am so loving this fall weather.  Cooler nights and warmer days.  It is perfect weather to paint outside and I have a lot of that to do this week.
Have a great week.

  1. Cute, Kris, as always! At first I thought the chippy chair was a high chair - with the tote sitting on top of it, it created that illusion. Can't wait to see what you do with the birdhouse!

  2. Elkhorn is too far south for me, but Cedarburg also has great flea markets. Glad you found such wonderful items!

  3. I can't wait to see the birdcage--love that chair with the pumpkins. Looks like such fun shopping! I am glad your weather is good--we are having 50 mph winds and flooding. A couple weeks ago it was 90 degrees! Oh well--we'll live :)

  7. fun looking sale!! I see the lovely French script, for some reason no one around where I live seems to be into that. I wish they were because I love it!

  8. I see lots of great things. I was hoping we would go to an outdoor market like this in France, but the one that was planned wasn't there like the schedule said that our host had. She was very surprised and we were a bit disappointed.

  12. Thanks for the great trip to the flea market! Your little tote was probably belonged to a shoe shine guy.....carry supplies and sit on the tote. And your drop leaf table was exactly the one my mother had in the 40s.....deep mahogany with brass 'toes'. Harp back chairs went with this set. Can't wait to see what your hubby does with that birdcage!

  13. Oh, my! Such lovely finds and now such lovely displays. I am so envious of your white column. I found a red one about half that height, but it was $198 and I really have no place to put it.

I can't wait to see what you do with the column and the birdcage. Are you going to show off the fireman's man cave?

  14. Oh Kris, what great treasures you have - love them all. I am anxious to see what you do with the bird cage. I found one also at a garage sale for $15.00. It's not quite as big as yours, but I think I am going to paint it white and bring it in and put it on the sofa table behind my red couch. Looking forward to seeing what you do to your new treasures.
I am laying low as I have a blood clot in my left leg, but want to get cracking on some projects.
    Have fun this week.

  15. Oh, what a fun time you and your hubby had this past week-end! I love the bird cage but since I don't have a lot of room in my house I think I would use it outdoors! I agree, that is the cutest little tote! Enjoyed the flea market through your eyes!! Nancy

  32. Kris, I just got caught up with about your last 500 posts! I had been thinking that it had been awhile since I had come by and then another blogger sent me an email and asked if I was mad at her! So I have been checking some blogs and it shows that I'm not following!! And it showed that on yours, too. So I hit "Follow" again and I should be getting notified of your posts. SO sorry if you were wondering where I was. You've been up to a lot! I'm loving your fall decor, inside and out, and your new door is fabulous. I also got a kick out of seeing pics of your cute little granddaughter! Take care! :)

    XO,
    Jane
