Wallpaper reveal in 3 in 1 Room

Hellooooo my fellow bloggers and followers.
Hope your week is going great.  We have been in the 80's this week and we are loving it.  Mr. Winter has finally left and Spring/Summer temps are here.

This is the wallpaper I found to do just the one wall in my 3 way room.  Since I am living small  my 2nd bedroom has 3 purposes.
My office area, guest room area and make up area.

I wanted to use this wallpaper to give a little texture and fun to my office wall.
I added Anita's sweet cherub she gifted me.  I painted her white and then tried to have some of the gold come through to match the chippy piece.
I am not sure I am sold on her this way just yet.  I may bring her back to the original gold or maybe all white.  She is special so I want her to look just right.

I think the wallpaper gives a little bit of texture to my whites.  This is the area I spend a lot of my time.

Since I do spend a lot of time at my desk and computer I like to surround myself with the things that make me smile.

This is a gorgeous vintage mirror was gifted to my by a special friend for my birthday.  I hung it on this chippy cabinet door.

I got the corbels on my trip and they make a nice shelf for my angels and Madonnas.

I have a place for all my catalogs and magazines.

The front left corner of the room is my make up area.  When you live in a 1949 cottage there was no such thing as double sinks and make up areas when this house was built.  This corner is my area for my jewelry and makeup.

This is the new chair I got on my trip.  It is perfect for my make up area.  Very comfy and I like that it rolls on the wood floors.

In the right side of this room is where I have a guest bed available if I have an over night guest.

I love this gray pretty cottage chair I have had for a long time.  I added some pillows I got on the trip to this chair.  Just love this chair it is very comfy.

Here is another treasure I got on my trip.  I love this saying.  It is so perfect for our small cottage home living.  Terry framed it for me and now it is hanging in the living room.  My slipcovers are due here tomorrow or Friday and then I can hopefully do a reveal of my living room change a roo!!!

Have a great rest of the week.
Hugs,
Kris

  1. This room looks perfect, Kris. I love the wallpaper, and everything else in here! It all fits together just right. Your previous post was wonderful. Thanks for sharing all of the shops you visited. My friend and I are planning a trip down there this summer, so your list of shops was very helpful. The cherub you received is so pretty. I do like how you painted her, and left just enough gold showing through. Almost time to get outside and put flowers out!
    Love to you.

  4. Kris, I love the way you have divided the little bedroom. Works perfect for your needs. You new sign just fit the way I was raised. A friend once said, "how did your mother raise all of you in that little house?" I said she stacked us kids in there like cord wood. LOL. Blessings to you. I know you are loving this weather. I have yet to get my flowers. xoxo, Susie

  13. BRILLIANT BRILLIANT BRILLIANT space for Angélique the angel! KRIS! She looks perfect there!!!! I knew you'd have a blast figuring out how you'd prefer her...all white, a little white, gold.....either way, HAVE FUN!

Your room resembles my studio so much. All the white and the things that bring us joy. I have yet to photograph the CROWN that I adore so much that you sent me.....I have to find the right photo shoot styling to show how much I love it!

Every piece you've put together is marvelous. The wall paper is so subtle but gives a big bang of texture and I just know you're loving it!

Amazing. A fun surprise to see the angel this morning before I head off to teach another sort of angels: teenagers. They are so cute...

  14. Love the wallpaper, Kris, and the way you made this room multi-functional. Truth be told, I have a room similarly structured, the only difference being an empty space in the middle where it is a bit bigger. It's really wasted space, whereas yours is 100% useful. I love the framed words - perfect.

  18. Everything is so pretty and I am loving your wallpaper choice. That sweet gift is pretty on the arch. Suggestion, I would let a bit more gold show. It blends in a bit too much and it is a special piece as you mentioned. Just my two $.02. Your makeup chair is cute and love t he magazine rack you found at Home Goods.

88 degrees here too but I am not loving it since our Central air broke. Waiting for a part and wi ll be fixed Monday and I think it gets cooler here next week. John ran out and bought a portable one that vents out t he window. My savior!!!

  20. I'm so loving the wallpaper. I know many people hate wallpaper but like most decorating trends, it's making a comeback AND the patterns are so beautiful! What a calm, peaceful home you're creating! Love it! On a side note, since you are the 'outdoor bicycle queen' (at least in my book!), once you painted yours, did you seal them with anything? I just scored one and painted it white using Rustoleum spray paint. It says it's for outdoor use so I'm thinking it should be fine with just touch ups once a year or so?

  21. Oh Kris, I love it. This room is a perfect example of living in a small home and making it work! I think I need a make-up area - love the idea! It all looks so beautiful - the wallpaper is the perfect touch!
Glad you are finally warm! I finally had to turn on the a/c last night; the humidity was awful. Have a good weekend!

  24. You truly are making the best of your new small home! I really like how you have the second bedroom set up to incorporate everything you need. We have never lived in a place with double sinks, so I don't even know what that luxury is like! ;-)

  29. I can't believe how spacious the room looks with having three functions. It doesn't look cluttered in the least bit. You have such a lovely zone to work in, especially with the addition of the pretty wallpaper. I have been on the hunt for over a year for corbels just like yours. They are so hard to come by here. I love the sentiment of your new sign - so much truth in that!

  30. So Chic and gorgeous - no wonder you love spending time in it!

  35. I love it all! As usual..... had to go look at every little piece in that room.... it's just a perfect 3 in 1 room........ the guest bed looks so inviting.. and love that chair with the checked cushion.. and the little wall baskets for your magazines. I never have enough room for all of my beloved (old friends) magazines... can't bear to part with them. The wallpaper fits so well.. is it a light gray? Hard to tell sometimes if the photos on your blog are losing some of the color or are really gray. Hope you are enjoying the weekend and I'm looking so forward to seeing your floating deck one of these days!

  39. Love the angel gift, I believe my angel looks like yours, but mine has a broken
Wing and is of concrete and I love that she was unearthed from a garden shop where it was out doors and moss and vines attached to the piece. You will have fun moving your angel about finding new spaces to share with
    Your angel.
    Beautiful space Kris

  40. Kris, your cherub is beautiful in white. I have some ornate gold wood items that I've painted white. I think the white is better if you have painted furniture paired with it. Lovely!
