Sometimes right in the middle of an ordinary day.

 Happy Weekend.

Life has been a struggle.  Lots of transition and unrest and worry.  Sometimes when you need a friend or smile or just someone to be in your corner something special happens.

The other day was a bad one.  One of those days when things just seemed to go in the wrong direction all day.  One of those days when I found myself needing to take a minute and breath.

Just when I was exhausted mentally and physically I drove up the driveway wanting to find shelter in my house.  A quiet place where I could close the door and kiss a terrible day good bye.

I saw a package laying on my doorstep.

I took the package in the house and opened it.

It was from Farmgirl Flowers sent to me from a very special blogging friend.

It was from Tina.  Tina's blog is What We Keep.  Tina and I have become friends through blogging and she has shared her friendship and kind heart with me.  Tina knows how much I have been struggling with what life has been throwing at me.  Tina is sweet and kind and has a fun sense of humor which makes her the best kind of friend to have.

Right in the middle of an ordinary or in my case a not so ordinary day,  when I needed a little ray of hope,  here was a beautiful thoughtful gift on my doorstep.

Jasmine in a galvanized pot.

The Jasmine is just starting to bloom and it is so pretty.

Thank you Tina.  You have a heart as big as the sky.  Thank you for thinking about me and sending me this gift of cheer.

Neither Tina or I have been compensated for giving a shout out.  I love to share Company's that provide a good service and a sweet smile to someone in need.

Farmgirl Flowers.com

Tina said she has used this company many times and has been satisfied each and every time.  I am a witness to this with the sweet Jasmine plant.  It is beautiful and the galvanized pot is perfect and unique.

If you want to send a wonderful thoughtful gift you should visit this company.  The flowers and  plants crafted together along with unique wrapping make this gift a special one.

Thanks Tina for giving me a hug and smile with this special delivery.
Blogging friends are the best.

Have a great weekend.
We are enjoying gorgeous weather here in the Chicago area this weekend.  Sunshine and warmth.  Feels wonderful.

  11. A lovely and thoughtful gift from a lovely and thoughtful friend who knew just what you needed. Jasmine has such a lovely fragrance. I have always believed that we are sent a special friend, phone call, or gift when we are down, harassed or just about at the end of that proverbial rope. Your friends love you and want to support you as you go through these days of just "too much". xoxo

  19. Good friends like Tina is a huge way how God shows us how much he loves us and is with us especially when we feel alone. I have a wooden Angel that was sent to me by a blogging Angel and when I pass it during the day it reminds me of the kind love you gave me through dark times. You are so loved.

  27. Happy Saturday Kris,
I hope your Mom is rebuilding strength in rehab and you and Terry are checking out new houses. Tina is a friend and I agree her heart is as big as Texas and sweet as can be... which brings me to you, my friend, your heart is like a Chicago deep dish pizza with a love that oozes like the yummy cheese. Love you both!!!

  28. no one is more deserving than you to receive a ray of sunshine. I know first hand how difficult having a love one ill can cause everything else in your day to feel just a tad too heavy to bear. Having someone who instinctively knows you need a pick me up is a blessing that is beyond comprehension. Please take time to be good to your self Kris...you are valued by many for your uplifting attitude.

  29. How so sweet of Tina! Some people know just what we need when it. I will definitely have a peek at this company.

Sending many prayers that you and Terry have success soon in finding a house. And I hope the warm weather and sunshine this week makes you smile!

  30. Good morning dear friend. Yes, miracles do happen, and they happen on ordinary days, in ordinary ways. But the timing of when they happen is what lifts these moments to the heavens, and you along with them. I found out recently, that "This is what our heart is for"...to love, to lift up each other. Everything else is just a test and will pass. Big love to ya....

  31. Life can be brutal. It's a blessing and gift to have someone who recognizes she is blessed to be a blessing. May your heart be warmed for many weeks, months and, yes, even years, as you relish that gift of love.

  32. Don't you just LOVE Tina? What a great gift!!! She sent me flowers when John was at his worst, too. The day it came I burst into tears and then smiles and then tears again. Someone "got it"!
I am so sorry that you have been going through such trauma over the past few weeks---just when things were looking brighter with the new job, etc., trouble, once again, popped its head up to bite you.
Hang in there- you have gotten through lots of tough times and you will get through this, too, because you are one tough cookie when you have to be tough! Much love to you---xo Diana
