Decor Steals and Prayer Request

Hi Everyone.  Happy Wednesday.

I got a package in the mail yesterday of something I purchased on Decor Steals.  I thought I would share it with you.  They are not compensating me in anyway to show this.  Just was cute little purchase I made and thought I would share it with all of you.

Cute little bike basket wall hanger.  I miss having my garden bike in the new place so this little gem made me smile when it  popped up in my email.
Filled it with my little birds and a their nest and some greens.

I thought it looked cute with my cottage garden decor over my garden bench.

I thought about painting it white and distressing it lol!! I know a real shocker for someone that paints everything white!!!! I decided to leave it alone with its nice patina for contrast.
Just a sweet little piece.

Prayer Request.
My daughter Kim and I are leaving for Florida tomorrow to take my mom to one of the best Cancer Treatment Centers down in Florida where she lives.  My mom has survived breast cancer twice in her life.  Once at age 58 and just a few years ago at age 82.  They did a lumpectomy both times since the cancer never moved into the lymph and she had chemo and radiation.  Just this past month she had her annual scan done and they found that the breast cancer moved into her bones.  So now we need to see what the best treatment options will be.  My daughter Kim is an oncology nurse and knows about the treatments and she is coming along to help with the decisions.  She will be a great help since she works with these treatments.
So if you could just say a little prayer for my mom that we will get some good news on treatment options it would be so appreciated.
The power of prayer is amazing.
Thank you sweet blogging friends.
Hugs,
Kris

  2. OH Kris, prayers for your mom and the medical professionals she will be seeing. It is nice to have a nurse in the family at a time like this - they think of questions that need to be asked and can help you understand the medical jargon. Best wishes for you all. Jane

  52. Prayers are given, and that sweet imdoor wall mount bike is so sweet. I have never seen such a piece, and it fits right in with your sweet country garden whites. I can see you filling it up seasonally changing the theme for each season. As for keeping its patina, it's a nice pleasant change to have that accent piece that stands out yet so fits I'm at the same time.
Perhaps it will end up white soon enough, winter soon to approach I can see it white filled with pine and glass glittered pine cones.
With any season in your home of whites you can't go wrong not matter what's to come of its changes.

    See you soon.
Don't stress, you have a powerful group of ladies in prayer here.

    Xx

  53. I love your cute wall mounted bike! That's perfect for your home with the flowers in the basket. I'm so sorry to hear about your mom's cancer returning. Cancer is such a scary thing and it always seems to rear its ugly head even after it's gone into remission. It's like once you get it, it's there hiding out no matter what you do. I hope that the doctors can find a good treatment for her condition. It's encouraging to know that she beat it once before though. Hopefully your daughter will be able to guide you all in that area too. I know you can trust her!

  60. Kris, I'm so sorry to hear your mom has to go through this again - may the Lord give the doctors wisdom treating her. My mom was just diagnosed with cancer in March and started her treatments last month. She found out about two weeks before my dad passed away, so it's been such a tough year for her and all of us.

    Blessings,
