A Small Peek at The Changes Happening to the New Cottage

We are moving along with all the changes to the new "nest".  Lots of painting, take downs, put ups and boxes galore to unpack!

I have been overwhelmed with this move.  So much to do.  It seems like we just cross off one project and there are so many more to do!

Terry and I are working hard on getting the before's to the after's!!!!!

Here is a sneak peak of one wall done in my new nest.  Lots of new things to show you in the coming days.

I am excited to see this place transforming into a new cozy cottage.

Whites, creams and gray are my main colors with chippy whites and architectural pieces rolled in to the decor too.

Before living room window wall with new coat of fresh paint called Snow drift.  White with a hint of gray.

After:  Wall done up with cottage garden decor.

Stay tuned for more change ups to come.  I will have the living room and dining room to show you next.

Have a great holiday week end.  Enjoy.
Hugs,
Kris

  5. Hi Kris
Wow - you and Terry are such a great team!
I love the paint colour you chose for the walls - all your things will look great in there.
I caught up on your other posts and loved hearing about your "sprinkle" for your daughter.
I'm thinking you must be 'in' the new house now so you can look forward to getting back to normal life now you're settled.
I'll catch up with you again soon.

  7. I AM SO THRILLED to see this, Kris! What some paint and some fine décor can do! ARE YA LOVIN' IT?

And you are doing all this in just the right amount of time to give you the entire summer to enjoy a new space! HURRAY!

I was thrilled yesterday to come home with my husband after an inspiring walk around town, looking at magnificent gardens and cottages. We spruced up our covered deck, I hung my white whispy curtains, brought out the white garden furniture and planted some more white flowers in urns. Oh the glory of WHITE!

  37. Looks like everything is coming along nicely! Lovely. I think you will be very happy here. By the way, it is spelled peek
(to look or glance quickly or furtively, especially through a small opening or from a concealed location; peep; peer.) Peak is the pointed top of a mountain or ridge, the maximum point, degree, or volume of anything.

    1. Hi Susanne it is a Glidden color. I love Behr paint so Home Depot color matched it to the Behr. It is white with a hint of gray.
      Have a great week end.

  47. Hello Kris....I've been away from my computer a lot lately, so I had to catch up on all of your posts from the last month or so.....more like or so. I am sorry about the news of Cooper's cancer...but he seems to be doing pretty well...and that is good news for now.
Your new nest is wonderful, and you and Terry are doing a super job of putting things together just the way you want them to be. I am sure this place will be "home sweet home" in no time....after much in the way of "labors of love".
I hope your holiday weekend has been a good one....fun, and productive.
Blessings to you and your family, dear Kris!
