Happy Thursday

Hi everyone.  Hope your week is going good.

Remember the basket I got at the little shop when I went Junkin last Friday.  Well it landed here.

It is now in my bedroom and it holds some of my pillows and throws from the bed.

I moved this white Ikea chair I had in the guest room out and put it under the baskets hanging in the dining room.

I am going to see if I like having a reading chair in this corner.  I am on the hunt for a cuter stool to put with this chair.  Something with a ruffle maybe.

Where the chair was in the bedroom I moved the dresser I got from Rosemary at the Flea Market over to that corner.

It is so much easier to get into my guest room closet now without the chair there.

So now I will see if the chair stays in the dining room corner for a little reading area.  I am liking it for now in this spot so we will see......

Have a great rest of the day.  Be sure to come back on Saturday for Spotlight.  Susan and I have two great bloggers for you to get to know.

Thank you for all your sweet visits and comments.

  1. Your switch looks great, as always, Kris. I added a leather wingback chair to my DR a few years ago, and I really like it. Now, if I could just add some bookshelves, I'd be an even happier camper. ;)

  2. Love the switches! You could make a little ruffled cover for that stool I bet! It would be cute. I have one on mine and it's cheaper than finding a new stool. Love the basket filled with pillows. I have one at the foot of my bed done the same way. It's a nice way to soften the hard edge of the bed.

  20. I like the higher back on that chair, Kris. I have the Ektorp chair from Ikea and the back isn't quite as high. Love the slipcover. Did it come with the ruffle on the back portion or did you add that in? Their white slips are such a great buy. I paid $25.00 for my white Ektorp one which made for an easy and inexpensive update to the chair.

  21. I actually Love the cushy chair in the dining room! Such a nice place to read and reflect during the colder winter months when you are unable to go sit on your beautiful deck. I'm sure you can find a cute little slip cover for the stool that will add that touch of flare that your love. As always, beautiful!!! Blessings, Cindy

  24. You are always moving things around! I like it--though I usually find a spot for something and it never moves (though it sometimes does take awhile to find the perfect spot.) Your house always looks so bright and pretty!

  33. Hi Kris, I appreciate the easier access to the closet. That will help a lot when I need to change clothes, LOL. The chair had looked good at that spot but I like the dresser there as well. The pillows are the perfect filling for the basket. It looks fresh and beautiful. How about getting a piece of foam and fabric to upholster the stool?
    Have a great Sunday!
