Up Date and Thank you for all the sweet thoughts and prayers

Hello
Just wanted to say thank you to all of you that have been saying prayers and sending
get well wishes for my hubby Terry's Dad that has been critically ill in the hospital these past few days.

Terry's dad is on life support to help let his heart and lungs rest and heal.  So the machines and medications have been keeping him alive until they can see if his own heart and lungs will work efficiently on their own.

We have had many ups and downs these past few days but yesterday we got some positive news on one of his tests so the doctors are cautiously optimistic he may be able to survive.  He is still very ill and in critical condition but stabilizing.  We are praying that in the next 48 hours they will be able to start the process of weening him off all life support measures and his own heart will begin to work again on it's own.

Your well wishes and prayers have helped me so much.  This has been a very difficult time and I thank all of you for being such kind and caring angels.

I believe in the power of prayer and know it works so thank you for your loving prayers and heart warming emails and comments.

I want to wish all of you a wonderful Easter with family and friends.  I hope to be able to post on my trip out East and meeting up with the other bloggers soon.  Thanks for your patience.  I have been spending 12 to 15 hours a day up at the hospital with family.  We live almost an hour away from the hospital so it makes for long days and evenings and a long commute.

Thank you again for all your loving thoughts.

Be sure to come by on Saturday.  Susan and I have a couple of great bloggers to feature that I know you will love getting to know better.

Happy Easter.  Enjoy your family and friends.

  6. Prayers continue to be sent your way... and may the Lord continue to Comfort you and the Family during this most difficult time. We may also have to be making an Emergency Post Holy Day Trip to another State due to my Mom's failing Health... such is the cycle of Life... though it is never easy to bear. 11. Kris, still praying and thinking of you and you family. Bless your heart for those long days and the commutes - as if it wasn't already taxing enough with the family matter at hand. I'm sure you're the rock everyone leans on, given your subject expertise in the medical field, so that's probably especially stressful. Best wishes for a full recovery for your FIL, and some much-deserved rest for you & Terry.

  38. Kris, I'm glad to hear this. I hope that he keeps improving. So many prayers should help ! I hate to even bring this up now, under the circumstances, but looking at your blog I see that you have posted a few since last week. It seems that I am not receiving my blogs anymore. I subscribe by email to you and about 15 others, but since last week I'm not receiving any of them. I am not familiar with how the system works, other than I sign up and I get them in my email, so hope you might know a little more. Any idea why suddenly I am not receiving any of them ? Did something in BlogLand change ? I am grateful if you are able to take a moment to reply to me, even with all that is on your plate right now. Thank you.... patty -- soriano471@sbcglobal.net
