Cream to Grey

Happy Sunday.  Finally got a decent day today and some sun.

Just a few things to show you I am working on.

I am working on painting and changing up my living room and entry way.

I am moving away from the creams to light grey and white.  The color I painted in the living room is called Gallery White with just a hint of light grey.  You can see the little bit of grey contrast between the white cabinet and the wall.  The new chandelier I got at the flea market from the same vendor I got the bedroom chandeliers.  She is very reasonable on her prices and has some of the prettiest chandeliers.

I thought I would show this picture of Junk Chic Cottage.  It is not always clean and put together especially when a project is going on.  My house has stuff everywhere!!!:)

I am getting ready to redo the entry way too.  I found this cute grey vintage piano bench at the flea market for $20.  Loved it was grey and already chippy.

The only thing I have back up on the walls is my shutters and old curved chippy window.

I also got this cute little coffee table for the living room yesterday at the flea market.  I was scoring some great finds.  I think with it being the end of the season  the vendors were doing great prices.  So I got lucky on a few things.

I redid my mantel area this week end too.  I got these great side windows at a shop I frequent in Geneva.  They were so chippy and fabulous.  I thought they looked great next to my vintage mirror over the mantel

Just a few changes with some new finds at the Flea Market.  Now that I have the living room painted and the hall stay tuned to see the transformation.  My hubby is building me a new Armoire for our TV in the living room.  So I am waiting for that to be finished and then I can put the room back together.
Have a great week.
Kris

  6. Everything is looking great so far. I am working on changes in my living room after stealing the cabinet and moving it to the entry. I seriously did not do any tweaking or decorating when I was on pins and needles about KC getting her job. Now, I am super motivated.

And, I am tired doing gardening at 2 houses!

  7. You got some great pieces, Kris! Love the piano bench and that it is already grey. I think your whites will stand out more with the grey walls. Love your arched window with the shutters. I'd love to find a window like that to mirror and add shutters to for our dining area. I need the mirror in our condo to reflect the living room windows since we don't have windows on one side.

I just look and keep on going. I can hardly wait to see the finished product. Good time to work on projects, not to hot and they weather is cooler.
Have a terrific week and don't work to hard.

  18. I can't believe how quickly you get things done, Kris! You scored some wonderful things at the flea market and you've already got them in place in your home. I'm impressed! And lucky you to have a handy hubby to build you a new armoire. I'm on the lookout for an old cupboard that I can use to hide my TV. My current armoire is way too big for the room. Love the changes you've made to your living room!

  40. I can't wait to see the new armoire. I have one that is too big for my space. I am thinking I might have to get Dad to alter it or just buy a new one. Also, our TV is really old style (but not quite vintage) It will soon pack it in, then I will be looking for a flat screen. I have very few ideas how I am going to decorate around one of those big black boxes. That is why I am looking for ideas early.

  46. Kris, it is all going to look so lovely. I need some of your incentive to get going!! I have so many projects ahead and I just can't get moving. Your fireplace mantle looks so pretty with the windows on either side. You not only have incentives, but your imagination and foresight is beyond compare. I can't wait to see the final project..Happy Wednesday..Judy

  48. Loving all the grey you're adding to your home against the white! I've had many color schemes in my home before and eventually tired of them, but so far so good with the grey and white. I think you'll enjoy it too. It compliments white so well!
