I went to the Kane County Flea market this week end and found a great little find from Jennifer Rizzo.  I am sure alot of you know her from her blog http://www.jenniferrizzo.com/ if you do not you must check out her fab blog.  She is such a sweetie and I love to see her at local shows and the flea market.  She always has great treasures.   I was in her booth and then my eyes spotted this great set of old vintage theater seats.  Ohhhh had to have them.  I took my vintage bike down in my entry way for the winter and I was looking for something to fill the spot and I think these little chippy seats with history will do the trick.  I will decorate them up cute for Christmas.  Check these out!

I loved these at first site. Jen was not sure but we think these came from an old theater in Chicago. You know how I love stuff with history in my home.

Of course you know me with my cream and white obsession so the hubs gave these a nice coat of cottage white paint.

I have been playing with some Christmas decor on these cute little chairs.

  1. How fun!
That was the first thought that came to mind when I saw your photo, but my next thought was, "what would you do with them'?
Painting them white and decorating them seasonally is great. I can't wait to see them decorated.

  2. What a great find!! I really like old the vintage theater seats...but I love, love, love them painted white!! They look great how you decorated them.
I so want to start some holiday decorating, but I'm so busy getting ready for my Christmas show that is on Thanksgiving weekend.
Just have to tell you that I was looking for a new light for my dining room to match the vintage style ones in our kitchen...and I found the same light that you put in your dining room at our Lowes. Gives me that vintage farmhouse feel that I'm wanting.
    Have a great week.

    1. Hi Cindy,
Oh that is great that you found the light at Lowes. I love this light. I did break down and painted it in a ivory and I am going to put some burlap trim and burlap flowers on the glass jars. I will post the change soon. It came out really cute. I just could not get use the the dark color. Glad it worked for your kitchen.

  4. I love unusual items for the home like your great chairs. I used to have a set of three like that in my family room. I enjoyed them for a long time and then sold them in my shop. They went quickly. I love yours painted white....so pretty.

  5. I was not a fan of theater seats ... until I just saw yours. Painted in white and decorated with your pretty treasures certainly changed my mind. The wool throws will be the icing on the cake!
